Me and James aren't on speaking terms after that.

I don't think I have ever been as disappointed in anybody as much as I am with James Cameron after watching the Terminator. WHAT A HORRIBLE "MOVIE"! I struggle to comprehend how James Cameron created something so wondrous such as the Titanic, and something so GOD AWFUL such as the Terminator.

Before watching the Terminator, I had no expectations, but I respected James Cameron so much that I was certain that he would somehow make termination look beautiful. However, I was disappointed. When watching Titanic Cameron create dynamic characters, and compelling story lines, in Terminator, the characters were boring, and the few story lines were crap!

Although its a stretch, a very very BIG stretch, and I would never EVER put Titanic and Terminator in the same league, I was able to find one similarity. I found the characters somewhat parallel. In both movies Cameron seemed to cast a "misunderstood hero" (who dies,) and a damsel in distress who is forced to fight for herself in the end.

what a waste of film.

Dearest Jaclyn. Although I hate to say it, I am a little bit disappointed in you. Now, I didn't expect you to like the movie and I know that you are extremely extremely upset with James Cameron for producing such shit as The Terminator. But let's be real now. It was a quality bad movie. And don't even pretend that you don't know what I'm talking about. Think back about 3 years to your obsession with a certain someone from Dawson's Creek. Remember? Of course you do. Anyway, this certain someone was in a movie called Cursed about werewolves. It was definitely one of the worst movies I've ever seen. But we decided that it was a "quality bad" movie. Clearly a horrific and terrible film that never should have been made, but delightful in its awfulness. So there.

wow. strong opinions! I liked that at least you pointed out two somewhat legitimate reasons for not liking the movie (boring characters and crappy story lines?). I don't think you should blame James Cameron because without this movie there probably wouldn't've been a Titanic. This movie launched him into the film industry, which is probably why he got all the dough to make Titanic. He had to start somewhere!

girl your crazy! yes it was different than titanic but is horrible the word you should use....i dont think so silly. Yes the characters where much different and and depth and emotions where different but look at the bright side you still have a love story. its just a bit different kind of love. its love between friend and protector not love between loves. open your eyes to the world of manly movies! rethink the word horrible for me.
